Wanda is currently President of McClain Consulting Associates. As a former healthcare executive and financial services professional, Wanda’s focus is on helping her clients successfully achieve their strategic priorities while advancing equity. Throughout her career, she has overseen teams in the establishment of critical community alliances, leveraged her finance background to secure investments for life-changing services, and led efforts to expand workforce development and drive health equity. She employs key strengths—including collaboration, communication, and negotiation—to promote critical issues and leverage resources to bring about essential and sustainable change.
As the former Vice President of Community Health and Health Equity at Brigham and Women's Hospital, Wanda oversaw healthcare programs for over 21,000 patients, focusing on racial equity and social justice. Responsible for a $23 million budget and a 300-member team, she introduced crucial women's health programs and developed COVID-19 equity response strategies. Her leadership was instrumental in addressing racial disparities, enhancing community engagement, and improving patient outcomes. Earlier in her career, Wanda served in community health roles at Partners HealthCare System and the Comprehensive Community Revitalization Program in New York. She honed her financial skills at Morgan Stanley and Goldman Sachs, managing extensive client relationships and financial portfolios.
Wanda has served on numerous non-profit boards. She is currently Chair of the Board of Directors for Planned Parenthood League of Massachusetts. She is also serving on the boards of Planned Parenthood Federation of America and Fallon Health. She is a graduate of Towson University and received her MPA from Harvard Kennedy School.
