Claudine Swartz is a health care policy and government affairs consultant with over 20 years of experience. Claudine has worked throughout the health care industry, helping providers, payers, and stakeholders understand and influence complicated healthcare policies and develop related business strategies. Claudine has in-depth knowledge of the Affordable Care Act and the Massachusetts payment reform law, providing strategic counsel to hospitals, community health centers, and payers. Claudine launched a reform engagement strategy for a national trade association and contributed to key policies in the Affordable Care Act and the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, including: Medicaid coordinated care initiatives, alternative payment structures, accountable care organizations (ACOs), and electronic health records. Claudine has worked on policy issues in a total of 26 states throughout the country and works with clients to identify trends and best practices.
Claudine has led Day Health Strategies’ engagements with nonprofits and Medicaid managed care organization to help them determine their strategic approach, post-health reform. Previously, Claudine held senior roles at the University of California Health System, the National Association of Public Hospitals, and Delta Dental of Massachusetts, specifically navigating Medicaid and Medicare policy issues. Claudine holds an MPP from UC Berkeley and a BA from Boston College.
